I HAVE A DREAM
The dream I’m having turned out to be a new social contract for a new era, because I believe in my dream, but more importantly, I believe in actions that make a dream come true. As my dream, visualized in the video that served as a Christmas message, which I sent to 400 of my Facebook friends, begins with the catastrophic impact the Covid-19 pandemic had on people suffering from hunger worldwide, I point out that I believe in love that runs through the stomach. My dream concludes with the song ‘Time’ by Alan Walker and Hans Zimmer, which is a reference to God, as God is our beginning and our end (Alfa & Omega). Just as Nietzsche pointed out (part of the Christmas message) that the most damage to our world is done by our lack of belief, so do I point out the same thing. It’s our beliefs that define our actions as well as our inactions. I believe we can change this world for the better, so will you believe, because we can, we must, and we will.
Peace = War
I am not the only one who believes that love goes through the stomach. In the year 2020, during the pandemic, the World Food Programme received the Nobel Peace Prize, not the World Health Organisation. Two years later, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the food shelves in many countries that were already struggling to cope went empty. Just as in the Netherlands, the shelves were often empty of toilet paper during the pandemic. In other countries, people stood empty-handed when they needed to buy food. The pandemic showed our ignorant and selfish ways. Still, more importantly, it proved that whenever life gets tough, we look away, pretending the world is not our responsibility, but someone else’s. Nobody wants to hear me say that, but now I say; fuck you, because you will hear and you will look. You will know what we are doing to this planet, and you will know that you are responsible.
A Winner is a dreamer who never gives up.
The business proposes an aggressive strategy to support the 17 SDG’s from the United Nations. One of my favorite quotes, written above, is from Nelson Mandela, who is well known for leading South Africa into a new era after the Netherlands had implemented ‘Apartheid’. Nelson Mandela was no Gandhi, because sometimes you need to show force and act in a way to end the evil that is preventing the good from happening. This is exactly what I propose with my business idea. Since the idea is to generate substantial amounts of money, we will share 2.5% of the revenue with the WFP, as the Quran prescribes. In the articles below, you can read more about Nelson Mandela and the organizations he inspired, which continue to influence the world to this day. One of these organisations is called ‘The Elders’, from which you can read their calls for action, for example, about the doomsday clock and how every second counts.
